Adobe Tutorials

Dear blog,

Hope you are still in one piece because I have not posted anything since June. The reason I update the blog because today is the last day of the year 2014 and I want to check up on you to see that you've done what you should be doing all this while...

I have been trying to brush up my Adobe Illustrator skill lately for some printing job because Adobe Illustrator is geared more for printed documents than Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop is easier to use as compared to Adove Photoshop. Nevertheless, I shall master Adobe Illustrator for good reasons :D Adobe Illustrator is good for illustration as there are no pixels and so it is in vector-based format, documents produced by Illustrator are safer for resizing, which means crisp and clean picture! Many graphics artists use to produce commercial quality logos and graphics, such as business cards and printed newsletters. Yup yup yup, in my opinion, when it comes to printing. Hopefully, colour printing is alright! p/s: CMYK refers to the four inks used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).

Alright. Time's up. I shall back to run some tests.

Testing Revit

I wondered how it works so I went to Autodesk Revit Workshop conducted with friends last Friday.

It's like doing building structure activity. We learnt to set the gridlines, generate floor plan views, elevations and produce of a simple 3D model.

As usual, got to wait for the Start-up screen...can't believe so multiple software on computer lab desktop

Choosing US Metric template

Creating gridlines

It is a bit different from autoCAD but the commands are quite the same. For example, trimming parts. Still not used to it.

Due to time factor, I gotta go somewhere else.

Normally, I just use the computer print-screen those drawings then rearrange them in Microsoft PowerPoint but it's so time-consuming so I decided to try out Sketchup Layout.

It definitely helps :)

3ds Max Design 2015

Long time no see...

Just reformatted my laptop not long ago so it's time to install 3ds max again.

I'm installing 3ds max 2015. Autodesk always has a new version whenver it's time for me to install the software again so there are few updates such as Autodesk Backburner for rendering queue manager and other Autodesk stuff...can't wait to try it. Hopefully the interface is better than previous one ^_^

Till next time
